God Thoughts No. Seven

JOY

unending

inexplicable

intoxicating

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

In His presence is fullness of Joy

Jesus gives Joy

It is a gift waiting to be accepted.

Open it.

Drink deeply of it.

Become intoxicated by it.

It is from Him; a loving gift to be devoured!

Allow it to wash over you like a healing balm.

Oh for the JOY that was set before us!

Praise His holy name!

Hallelujah!

Amen

God Thoughts No. Six

In my garden are many words.

"May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight O Lord."

From the heart spring forth the words of the mouth.

"The tongue is a small thing but has the power of life and death."

Am I speaking words that bring life or death?

Do I uplift or quench the spirits of those with whom I speak?

A godly woman speaks wisdom and on her tongue is the Law of kindness.

Kindness is my motto, my purpose.

As a Christ-follwer, I will speak kindness.

I will not try to impose my ideas upon everyone I meet.

Yet, I will speak the Truth in love and with kindness.

I will not use words which make others feel low.

Instead, I will encourage, uplift, and build up those around me.

In Jesus' garden are words of kindness, love and Truth.

Jesus loves. Jesus saves.

God Thoughts No. Five

What man sees as a miracle, God sees as nautral.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.  You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.  Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!"
John 14:12-14 (emphasis mine)

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth."
John 14:16-17a

Faith & obedience in Christ and an indwelling of Holy Spirit are keys in the manifestation of "miracles" on earth; bringing heaven to the earth.

I am so thankful for those who are willing to be used of and by the Lord for His wonderful purposes!

I look forward to all that is, still, to be manifested in and through me, my life and my family.

I thank God for those He has placed in my life and is using to manifest the blessings He intends for my household.

Loved-one, He has miracles for you too. There are so many things His heart desires for you; gifts and blessings He is waiting to give to you. As He is not a bully, nor does He force people into things, be willing to receive all that He has for you!

Knowing Him as Savior, Father, Friend and Lover is the ULTIMATE!

God Thoughts No. Four

I am a citizen of "the Land of Plenty"

The Lord is my Shepherd, I am not in want; I lack nothing; I have everything I need.

Satan tempts me and tries to impoverish me; mentally, spiritually, physically and financially.
But I am a citizen of the Land of Plenty.

I can choose to believe the father of lies OR I can choose to believe the Father of Lights, Truth, Love, Goodness, Grace, Mercy and Peace; the King of the Land of Plenty!
Thank you Jesus!

God Thoughts No. Three

"All we need is love, love. Love is all we need."

Jesus said that the world would know us (His Body) by our love for one another.

Body of Christ, I ask, are we loving one another?
Do our communities know us because of our love for one another?
Do we stand out as the embodiment of love?
Are we loving our co-workers and classmates?
Are our families known for being loving toward one another and others?
Are we loving others unconditionally and openly upon every encounter?
OR do we show love only to those who come to our buildings and attend our meetings?
Do we really see people or are we simply looking through them?
Do we esteem others higher than ourselves-even those the world calls worthless?
OR do we esteem only those whom we deem worthy?

Just wondering.
Love and blessings!  ;)

God Thoughts No. Two

It takes more strength (a stronger person?) to endure other people's "stuff" than it does to walk away.

"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (or enemies) John 15:13

Perhaps Jesus wasn't speaking only about physical death as we often do, but about dying to "self" for the sake of others.

Romans 12:20 comes to mind...“If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”

I love how (my) Bob defines humility:
choosing not to exercise my "rights" for the sake of another.
Jesus' death on the cross is the embodiment of humility.

Learning this lesson in humility and truly loving has been an arduous one, but I wouldn't change a thing!

God Thoughts No. One

Talk is cheap. How you live your life is what counts.

Jesus said that a tree is known by its fruit.

What's on your tree?

Jesus cursed the fig tree because it bore no fruit, immediately, it withered and died.
(See Matthwe 18, Mark 11, Luke 6)

Now that's food for thought!

God Thoughts

My brain is constantly in thought, I am constantly in process, and I often have what the world would call "random" thoughts. But I have decided that since I am filled with God's Holy Spirit and my thoughts mostly revolve around Him, I am going to call these thoughts "God Thoughts".

Also, being very word concious, I often spend alot of time choosing the right phraseology for my blog posts. However, for these "God Thought" posts I'm just going to type them how they come! So, at various intervals I will be sharing these "God Thoughts" and will probably use numbers to title them.

I'm trusting and praying that you, dear reader, will be able to folllow along! Yikes!!! hahaha!

As usual, I wish you abundant blessings!

Lessons on Piety (or is it Lessons on Relationship?) - Act 1

There are so many things the Lord has been teaching me.
If I had the time and fortitude, I could fill volumes!
Ha ha ha!
 Oh how pious of me!
He he he.
Anyway, here's a little scenario I thought I'd share.
I wonder if anyone else out there in "blogland" has ever experienced something similar?
~Or, perhaps, this is purely a fictional situation!?~
Whatever the case, I hope you get a snicker or two out of it!
I sure did!
Blessings!

Cast:
Hostess
Friend #1
Friend #2
Friend #3

Setting:
Four friends have gathered at Hostess' home for a small meal and fun game.

The four lady friends are gathered around a table, sharing a bite to eat and anticipating a friendly game to soon be played.

Friend #1 (to Hostess): "Will you be going over the game rules before we start?"
Hostess: "Oh, yes, of course!

Friend #1: Oh good! Because I have forgotten how to play."

Friend #2: Oh, me too! I'm so glad you'll be going over it again!"

Friend #1: "My brain just doesn't remember useless things any more."

Friend #3: "Oh, mine either! I just don't have time to remember useless information!"

All the while, Hostess is sitting at the table, smiling; thinking that it's probably a good thing that her brain has remembered this "useless information" or else they wouldn't be having a game at all!

Speaks for Itself

Yesterday, the Lord had me read Psalm 111, then had me realize that today is, of course,
1-1-11.
So, for today's blog post, I will simply share this Psalm in NLT.
Praying you'll be blessed by it as we remember -
 continually
- that we have a GREAT and awesome GOD!!!

Psalm 111
Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people.
How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them.
Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord!
He gives food to those who fear him; he always remembers his covenant.
He has shown his great power to his people by giving them the lands of other nations.
All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are trustworthy.
They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever.
What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has! Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!
