God Thoughts No. Thirty-Two
The dictionary definition of "remember" -
~to recall to the mind by an act or effort of memory; think of again.
~to retain in the memory; keep in mind; remain aware of
~to have (something) come into the mind again
~to bear (a person) in mind as deserving a gift, reward, or fee
The Bible has alot to say about remembering as well.
Abraham, Moses and David often survived by remembering;
remembering God's goodness, His promises, His love.
We are to remember Jesus and what He has done for us.
And we are taught that we should remember one another;
in thought, prayer, encouragement and love.
"Sing praises to Adonai, you faithful of His;
and give thanks on recalling (remembering) His holiness."
Psalm 30:4
"The desire of all our soul is to remember You and Your name."
Isaiah 26:8
"Then He took a loaf [of bread], and when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and gave it to them saying, This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
Luke 22:19
"And when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and said, Take, eat. This is My body, which is broken for you. Do this to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance."
1 Corinthains 11:24
"I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.
In every prayer of mine I always make my entreaty and petition for you all with joy (delight)."
Philippians 1:3-4
Remembering brings encouragement.
Remembering gives strength.
Remembering provides healing.

Daughter & Father - A Dialogue
Why do I bother?
"Because I told you to."
"Because I told you to."
Does it even matter?
"It matters to Me."
Who really cares?
"I care."
I want people to care.
"Some do."
A few... I guess.
"Yes."
"Am I enough for you?"
Of course. Yes.
But you said to desire relationships.
"Yes?"
I desire more.
"Treasure the few I have given you.
They will come."
It's hard.
"I will sustain you."
I'm tired.
"I know."
Shall I continue?
"Yes."
Will anyone read?
"Perhaps."
I wish I didn't care; that it didn't matter.
"What matters is that you obey."
I know.
That's why I continue.
"Then you do well.
Obedience is My heart's desire.
And as you fulfill the desires of My heart,
so will I fulfill yours."
I want only to desire what Your heart desires.
"And so it is.
You are an obedient daughter,
And that IS all that matters."
Letting Go
Holding on by a thread.
One foot dangling over the edge of a cliff
the other on a landslide.
Fear, threatens to choke out life.
So afraid to look down.
"Let go of fear.
I have you."
Choose fear
or choose Truth.
"I trust You Jesus."
Fear is loosed.
Faith is embraced.
Soaring.
Flying.
In and out of the trees.
The lush jungle floor,
Invisible from the cliff's edge,
was never a danger.
"Jesus,
You never fail."

1 Corinthians 13:6-7
Third course.
Dessert to follow!
It (LOVE) does not rejoice at injustice (violation of the rights of others)
and unrighteousness (wicked; sinful; evil; not in accordance with right or justice)
but rejoices when right and truth prevail (to succeed; become dominant).
Love bears up (to hold or remain firm)
under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready (completely prepared; willing)
to believe the best of every person,
its hopes are fadeless (not diminishing)
under all circumstances, and it endures (sustain without impairment or yielding)
everything [without weakening].

1 Corinthians 13:5
This is the second course of a previous post.
"It (LOVE) is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride);
it is not rude (unmannerly;discourteous, impolite; uncouth)
and does not act unbecomingly (unattractive,unapt, unsuitable, unfit).
Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way,
for it is not self-seeking (seeking of one's own interest or selfish ends);
it is not touchy (apt to take offense on slight provocation; irritable; requiring caution, or expert handling)
or fretful (irritable or peevish)
or resentful (displeasure or indignation at some act, remark, person, etc.);
it takes no account (an oral or written description of particular events or situations)
of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]."
How's it going down?
Bon appétit!
